Nic Schofield

Nic is new to ALDAS, coming from a background of Ecology with a particular interest in biodiversity. She is an Ecology graduate with a long standing interest in the environment and human impact.

After planning out and embarking on a career path in Environmental science, baby number one came along. With baby number two and three came a change in career plans with a role within the NHS supporting parents, facilitating clinics and delivering antenatal classes with a particular focus on breastfeeding advocacy.

With a view to returning to Environmental science, she volunteered on an organic permaculture farm which reignited her passion for the environment. After nearly a decade discussing energy efficient construction with her husband Liam, she is looking forward to playing an active role in improving the energy efficiency of the UK’s housing stock.

In her spare time Nic gets covered in mud playing rugby for her local team, is attempting to find some muscles at the gym, loves walking her dog (even though she always claimed to be a cat person) likes growing vegetables and a bit of crochet.
